Hi friends,
It has been way too long, since I have last blogged! I have so many things to share, and I hope to soon! Our lives have suddenly changed quickly and my focus has been on our family, so I have not been blogging as much. It is odd to be at home, not working and my days to be filled with school, 3 meals and 200 snacks! We have good days and we have really tough days, but we are very blessed to be healthy. I have spent a lot of time reflecting on what we are going through with this global pandemic, but also what our children are also going through.
All the projects
My brain is exploding with ideas, I want to do this, I want to read this, I want to fix this….the list goes on and on. I am home with so much time on my hands, so I should be getting everything on my to do list completed, right? Not the story in our house, and I have had to give myself a lot of grace. Our family is my priority and the lists can wait! The word that keeps floating to the top is being intentional, this is a powerful word, but also a powerful mindset.
For our family being intentional is centered around lots of family time and meeting our kids needs! Our kids may have no idea the amount of time we spend talking about being intentional with them, but for us as their parents, it is our focus during this time. There are so many distractions for us even for me not working right now, I could be doing so many things, but am choosing to focus my energy on our kids. Being intentionally present in their days, during this is a very unusual time is amazing, tough and everything in between, but I am giving myself grace to focus on our kids.
Our Current Favorites

- Drawing pictures
I pray that your family is safe and healthy! Whatever your focus is during this time, give your self a lot of grace, working, homeschooling and cooking all the meals….those are three full time jobs that can’t be completed by one person in any given day. What do you want your family to remember about this time? Be intentional with your time and energy, this time will be over and what you did spend your time on will be what your family truly remembers!
XOXO,
Amy
